We, Suzanne Strevens and Richard Beazley moved to the Picos de Europa and bought the Olmares house in 1989 and lived there until our family grew up. We now live in a nearby apartment.
Jaime is the manager at Olmares, he handles a lot of the day to day and booking requests.

GETTING HERE
Fly to Bilbao, Santander, Valladolid or Madrid. Take a ferry to Bilbao or Santander. If you come through Bilbao don´t forget to visit the Guggenheim Museum. Hire a car or bring your own.

International airports: Santander 135Km (1½hrs). Bilbao 236 km (2 ½ hrs). Madrid 422 km (4 ½ hrs)
Ferries: Brittany Ferries - Santander: 120km (1 ½ hrs) , Bilbao 236km (2 ½ hrs)
Also now there is Ferry company LD Lines has started operating between Poole and Gijón and Santander. Also Rosslare to Gijón
